Homecraft Division <\/span>Special Awards<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n
\n

For the purpose of determining the winners of the special awards listed below, a point system will be in place.<\/p>\n

For every section in the Homecraft classes, the following system applies:<\/p>\n

1st place = 5 points; 2nd place = 4 points; 3rd place = 3 points; 4th place = 2 points plus 1 point for merit.<\/p>\n

In the case of the Pallett Family Award, an additional 5 points will be given for each class in which the family exhibits. To be eligible for this award, each family is responsible for recording its own winnings on the tally sheet. This sheet must be returned to the Fair Office no later than 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 11th, 2023.<\/p>\n

The appropriate committees will determine all other special awards. Winners will be notified by Saturday, August 12th, 2023 and are asked to attend the awards presentation which will take place on Sunday, August 13th, 2023.<\/p>\n

Pallett Family Plaque<\/p>\n

Sponsored by the Pallett Family and presented to the family with the most points earned overall in the Homecraft Classes.<\/p>\n

Margaret Newell McIntosh Memorial Award<\/p>\n

Sponsored by the Lake Simcoe South Shore Horticultural Society and presented to the exhibitor with the most points earned overall in the Flower Division.<\/p>\n

Junior Award<\/p>\n

Sponsored by the Lake Simcoe South Shore Horticultural Society and presented to the student exhibitor with the most points overall in Class 101.<\/p>\n

General Conveners Award<\/p>\n

Sponsored by the Sutton Agricultural Society and presented to the first-time adult exhibitor, with the most points earned overall in the Homecraft Classes.<\/p>\n

Mary Trombley Memorial Award<\/p>\n

Sponsored by Matt Woodrow and Ann Scott and presented to the exhibitor with the most points earned overall in the Culinary Arts Class 114 to 120.<\/p>\n

Don Cameron Memorial Award – Junior Baker Award<\/p>\n

Sponsored by Thomasina Cameron-Jewell and presented to the student with the most points earned in Class 112.<\/p>\n

Kids\u2019 Corner Award<\/p>\n

Sponsored by Cole ID Products and presented to the child with the most points in each class of the Kids\u2019 Corner Classes 190 to 195<\/p>\n

Trevor Martin Memorial Award<\/p>\n

Sponsored by Maddy Martin and presented to the exhibitor with the most points in Class 162.<\/p>\n

Field Crop Award<\/p>\n

Sponsored by Matt Woodrow and presented to the exhibitor with the most points in Class 102.<\/p>\n

Awards Ceremony<\/span><\/h2>\n

Held in the outdoor Entertainment Pavilion on Sunday, August 13th at 4:00 PM.<\/p>\n
